There are two types of Canada Geese:
Migratory, that migrate north and south during the appropriate seasons, and
resident geese who are in one region all year around.
A Male goose is called a gander
Average weight of the Canada goose is 10-15 pounds but can be up to 24 pounds
Wingspan is 18-22 inches
The general diet is grasses and grains
General nesting period is from March to June
The incubation period of the eggs is 28-30 days
Average amount of eggs in a nest is 4-7 eggs
The goslings (baby geese) will be able to fly in approximately 10 weeks
1-2 pounds of feces are produced by adult geese daily
