Why Border Collies?

  • Border Collies have inbred instincts to herd, not retrieve. Using other retrieving dogs is far more likely to lead to problems.

  • Border Collies have inbred instincts to stalk. This is important because the geese perceive the Border Collie as more of a threat than just a dog running after them. The more of a threat they sense, the longer they stay away, hence making Border Collies more effective.

  • All of our Border Collies are professionally trained as working dogs. They all went through extensive training working with sheep, cattle, ducks and of course geese.
